|
About Us Flotilla 72 was chartered on February 10th, 1959 making it the oldest flotilla in Division 7. Since that time, the flotilla has grown to meet the demands of a changing world and the challenges therein. Our continuing efforts led to the honor of the receiving the 2006 Flotilla Meritorious Achievement Award designating Flotilla 72 as the most deserving among the 62 flotillas in the First District (Northern). Among the major events supported by members of Flotilla 72 are the following:
We proudly contribute our time as volunteers in support of the Coast Guard and its many missions. We continue to carry out our everyday boating safety missions by way of our boating safety classes, our vessel safety check program, regular marine dealer visitations, and direct support of Coast Guard administrative and operational missions. We are truly America's Volunteer Lifesavers. CLICK HERE to read more about the history of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
